Quirk an eyebrow and flirt with a grin.
An indiscriminate mixture of colors filter
through my eyelids like a kaleidescope.

And, finally, I'm happy.
I'm a happy, in a dream, under the covers, at one in
the afternoon. Fuck school for the second half of the
day, fuck the company I could have, fuck the mail I
should send, fuck the shower I could take, fuck the
cigarette I could smoke, fuck the places I could go,
and just sink into my crooked mattress that lies
halfway on the bed frame, and halfway on the floor.

I want to mouth words into your skin, until they
permeate & become a mantra in your mind. I want you
to experience the type of happiness that I felt this
afternoon. It was good news. I am good news today.
I want to know what it feels like to be that happy
everyday. That happy, all by myself, no drugs.

Happy?

What is thou secret?

imbrilliant said...

Secret... well, I don't think
there was one. I was just happy,
inexplicably happy.

I got home early, since I didn't
go to my afternoon classes, and
I slept. I was so happy.

It didn't last.

My apologes for your loss.

I posted a new blog. It'g might cheer you up!

imbrilliant said...

I read it, and it did. :]

Your details are like a slap in
the face. Which, I'm sure sounds
weird, but trust me, it's complimentary.

groovy.

now you hafta write the next half.

a surrealistic biography of my dear deceased friend sapo.

it would make him laugh so damn hard to read that.

get to it, deary-o.

imbrilliant said...

The next half?
But, the ending already seems so
final... I don't know if I can.

Eeek. :/

think of it as the prologue.

after that, the real story begins, leading up to that scene. start from his birth to his death.

from the razor to the grave, if you will.

and in case you haven't noticed, i changed my picture.

cuz a smiley face on the concrete just isn't as buff.

Christ, thinking is harder than
people make it out to be.......
I'm going to try. But, it might
end up mildly ridiculous.

I did notice. You wear glasses, and
a tie. So, Catholic school, or tie
enthusiast? I just realized, neither
of us know much about one another.
Like names, ages, states/countries.
I'm not certain if I'd like to keep
it that way, you know? I like strangers.

I vaguely miss the smile.
But, I'm sure I can make my own. :]

Tell me about it. Reading your stuff made me so paralyzed to write anything. That's why it took so long to write, I knew you'd be reading it. That's a compliment, by the way. :-)

I paint mirrors for a living, and the dress code requires that you wear a tie. Go figure. :-/

Yea, I noticed. I perfer strangers. When you're just strangers...anything can happen.

My response to the first
part of your comment can
be summarized in one word:
HONORED.
(I've been a bit heavy handed
on the caps lock lately, but
this one was justified.)

How does one paint mirrors?
"You combed your hair inside that
mirror, the one you painted blue
and glued with jewelry tears.
Something about those bright colors
would always make you feel better."

Well, I figure you gave me one
fact, a window into your world,
so I'll give you one back...
Now, if only I could think of one.

Grinning Mouths said...

Very nice, and very cool of you to say so.

Uh...we just kinda grab the spraypaint can and...paint.

What fact was that? I completely missed it.

I'm thinking like an O Pro Quo...you give, I give. But only when we really want it bad. Too much, and...boring.

imbrilliant said...

That's not what I meant, silly.
Does reflective shit come in a can?

I completely missed it too. I
just couldn't think of one...
But, here goes nothing:
It's 2:11AM here. I live in EST.

Quid pro quo sounds good to me.
Too much is too boring, but I like
riddles and puzzles, if you're
feeling more creative than usual.

Grinning Mouths said...

Fucking brilliant. Riddles are my game.

So you live in either Washington D.C., or Nuke York.

Creative people have more fun.

FYI, a mirror is made by placing a thin layer of silver behind a piece of glass. No, it doesn't come from a can.

imbrilliant said...

Not necessarily. EST is
more than just there:
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- District of Columbia
- Southern/Eastern Florida
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Eastern Kentucky
- Maine
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Michigan
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New York
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- Eastern Tennessee
- Vermont
- Virginia
- West Virginia

But, I hated Washington, and
I love where I live.
On Saturday, August 11, 2007,
I was feeling particularly happy
about where I live.

Grinning Mouths said...

No, I'm pretty sure you like in Nuke York now.

Your accent is pretty heavy.

And people say "not necessairly" only when they have been caught and have no excuse, yea.

imbrilliant said...

I'm accent-less.
New York natives don't have accents.
It's the rest of you that do. :]
