yesterday i woke up from a dream where
my hair was bleeding. i know that it's
not possible, but i still ran, fast,
to the mirror behind the door, causing
a dizzying head rush, like none i've
ever experienced before. and, i nearly
screamed, after seeing all of the red,
until i realized that was just my hair color.

i wish humans didn't have to sleep.
